Our Mission

Join Us in Preserving Nature

Empowering Communities through Nature Conservation

USNN’s mission is to empower Indigenous communities and allies to protect, preserve, and sustainably manage natural resources. We strive to achieve this through collaborative initiatives that prioritize cultural integrity, environmental responsibility, and community engagement. By bridging Indigenous leadership with innovative environmental solutions, USNN aims to create lasting impacts that benefit both current and future generations.

  • Our Vision

USNN envisions a future where Indigenous wisdom and environmental stewardship guide global sustainable development, fostering a harmonious relationship between humanity and nature.

USNN’s vision extends beyond local impact to envision a global paradigm shift where Indigenous knowledge systems are respected and integrated into mainstream environmental practices. By harnessing the wisdom of Indigenous communities, USNN seeks to inspire a worldwide movement towards sustainable living and ecological harmony.

    Protecting and Preserving Natural Resources

Our key initiatives include advocacy for environmental justice, capacity building through educational programs, and strategic partnerships with Indigenous nations, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. Our work spans across research, policy development, and grassroots activism, aiming to address pressing environmental issues while honoring Indigenous sovereignty and cultural heritage.

As a federally incorporated organization with a strong presence in both New Brunswick and Ontario, USNN is dedicated to promoting sustainable practices, advocating for environmental equity, and nurturing relationships that strengthen the bond between people and nature. We are committed to realizing our mission of integrating Indigenous knowledge with modern environmental practices to foster resilience and sustainability.

Together, we can build a future where harmony between humanity and nature thrives, guided by respect for Indigenous wisdom and a shared commitment to environmental well-being. Join us in creating a legacy of stewardship and sustainability. Together, let’s make a meaningful impact on our planet and future generations.
